ଶ୍ଲୋକଃ
ଅୟି ସବଲ ମୁରାରେ ପାଣିଜାନୁପ୍ରଚାରୈଃ
କିମପି ଭଵନଭାଗାନ୍ ଭୂଷୟଂତୌ ଭଵଂତୌ ।
ଚଲିତଚରଣକଂଜୌ ମଂଜୁମଂଜୀରଶିଂଜା-
ଶ୍ରଵଣକୁତୁକଭାଜୌ ଚେରତୁଶ୍ଚାରୁଵେଗାତ୍ ॥1॥

Meaning
ଅୟି ସବଲ ମୁରାରେ - O Thou! Along with Balaraam, O Muraari!; ପାଣି-ଜାନୁ-ପ୍ରଚାରୈଃ - on hands and knees moving; କିମ୍-ଅପି - where not also; ଭଵନ-ଭାଗାନ୍ - in the various parts of the house; ଭୂଷୟଂତୌ ଭଵଂତୌ - adorning, the two of Thou; ଚଲିତ-ଚରଣ-କଂଜୌ - moving Thy two lotus feet; ମଂଜୁ-ମଂଜୀର-ଶିଂଜା - the pleasing anklet tinkling (sound); ଶ୍ରଵଣ-କୁତୁକ-ଭାଜୌ - eager to hear, the two of Thou; ଚେରତୁଃ-ଚାରୁ-ଵେଗାତ୍ - moved about charmingly fast;

Translation
O Lord Muraari! Thou and Thy brother Balaraam soon moved about on Thy hands and knees. When Thou moved about, Thou looked so beautiful that it was like your movements adorned the various parts of the house. With Thy movements, Thy ankle trinkets tinkled pleasingly, and so to increase the pleasing sound Thou charmingly moved about with more briskness.

ଶ୍ଲୋକଃ
ମୃଦୁ ମୃଦୁ ଵିହସଂତାଵୁନ୍ମିଷଦ୍ଦଂତଵଂତୌ
ଵଦନପତିତକେଶୌ ଦୃଶ୍ୟପାଦାବ୍ଜଦେଶୌ ।
ଭୁଜଗଲିତକରାଂତଵ୍ୟାଲଗତ୍କଂକଣାଂକୌ
ମତିମହରତମୁଚ୍ଚୈଃ ପଶ୍ୟତାଂ ଵିଶ୍ଵନୃଣାମ୍ ॥2॥

Meaning
ମୃଦୁ ମୃଦୁ ଵିହସଂତୌ- - very gently smiling; ଉନ୍ମିଷତ୍-ଦଂତଵଂତୌ - (thereby) revealing the teeth; ଵଦନ-ପତିତ-କେଶୌ - with hair falling on the face; ଦୃଶ୍ୟ-ପାଦାବ୍ଜ-ଦେଶୌ - with the lovely sight of the lotus feet; ଭୁଜ-ଗଲିତ-କର-ଅଂତ- - from the arms, slipped down to the hands' end; ଵ୍ୟାଲ-ଗତ୍-କଂକଣ-ଅଂକୌ - and marked by the bracelets; ମତିମ୍-ଅହରତମ୍-ଉଚ୍ଚୈଃ - the minds intensely captivating; ପଶ୍ୟତାଂ ଵିଶ୍ଵନୃଣାମ୍ - of the onlookers (and) of all the people of the world;

Translation
Thy very gentle smile revealed the newly cut teeth. Thy lustrous locks of hair streamed around Thy face. It was a lovely sight to look at Thy lotus feet, and Thy arms, with armlets having slipped down to the wrists which were marked with bracelets. Thou and Thy brother intensely captivated the minds of all the onlookers and also of all the people of the world.

ଶ୍ଲୋକଃ
ଅନୁସରତି ଜନୌଘେ କୌତୁକଵ୍ୟାକୁଲାକ୍ଷେ
କିମପି କୃତନିନାଦଂ ଵ୍ୟାହସଂତୌ ଦ୍ରଵଂତୌ ।
ଵଲିତଵଦନପଦ୍ମଂ ପୃଷ୍ଠତୋ ଦତ୍ତଦୃଷ୍ଟୀ
କିମିଵ ନ ଵିଦଧାଥେ କୌତୁକଂ ଵାସୁଦେଵ ॥3॥

Meaning
ଅନୁସରତି ଜନୌଘେ - being followed by all the people; କୌତୁକ-ଵ୍ୟାକୁଲ-ଆକ୍ଷେ - with extremely eager eyes (set on Thee); କିମ୍-ଅପି - some sort of; କୃତ-ନିନାଦମ୍ - sound (the two of Thou) made; ଵ୍ୟାହସଂତୌ ଦ୍ରଵଂତୌ - (then) laughed (then) started running; ଵଲିତ-ଵଦନ-ପଦ୍ମମ୍ - (then) turning (Thy) lotus face; ପୃଷ୍ଠତଃ ଦ୍ତ୍ତ-ଦୃଷ୍ଟୀ - casting a look behind; କିମ୍-ଇଵ ନ - what also did not; ଵିଦଧାଥେ କୌତୁକମ୍ - (Thou) cause joyful excitements; ଵାସୁଦେଵ - O Vaasudeva!;

Translation
O Vaasudeva! All the people followed Thee with their eager affectionate eyes set on Thee. As the two of Thou ran, Thou made some screaming sounds, then laughed and ran as Thou turned Thy lotus like faces casting a look at the people behind. What incredible joyful excitement Thou caused when Thou did so!

ଶ୍ଲୋକଃ
ଦ୍ରୁତଗତିଷୁ ପତଂତାଵୁତ୍ଥିତୌ ଲିପ୍ତପଂକୌ
ଦିଵି ମୁନିଭିରପଂକୈଃ ସସ୍ମିତଂ ଵଂଦ୍ୟମାନୌ ।
ଦ୍ରୁତମଥ ଜନନୀଭ୍ୟାଂ ସାନୁକଂପଂ ଗୃହୀତୌ
ମୁହୁରପି ପରିରବ୍ଧୌ ଦ୍ରାଗ୍ୟୁଵାଂ ଚୁଂବିତୌ ଚ ॥4॥

Meaning
ଦ୍ରୁତଗତିଷୁ - in moving fast; ପତଂତୌ-ଉତ୍ଥିତୌ - falling down, then getting up; ଲିପ୍ତ-ପଂକୌ - smeared (stained) with dust (mud); ଦିଵି - in the heavens; ମୁନିଭିଃ-ଅପଂକୈଃ - by the taintless sages; ସସ୍ମିତଂ ଵଂଦ୍ୟମାନୌ - with a smile (watching the two of Thou) being saluted; ଦ୍ରୁତମ୍-ଅଥ - quickly then; ଜନନୀଭ୍ୟାଂ ସାନୁକଂପଂ - by the two mothers with great care; ଗୃହୀତୌ - being picked up; ମୁହୁଃଅପି ପରିରବ୍ଧୌ - and again and again were embraced; ଦ୍ରାକ୍-ୟୁଵାଂ ଚୁଂବିତୌ ଚ - soon Thou two were kissed also;

Translation
As Thou two moved fast, Thou fell and got up and were smeared and tainted by mud. The taintless sages in heaven, saw these pranks and smiled at Thee and saluted Thee worshipfully. Then Thou two would be with great care quickly picked up by the two mothers and would be embraced and kissed again and again.

ଶ୍ଲୋକଃ
ସ୍ନୁତକୁଚଭରମଂକେ ଧାରୟଂତୀ ଭଵଂତଂ
ତରଲମତି ୟଶୋଦା ସ୍ତନ୍ୟଦା ଧନ୍ୟଧନ୍ୟା ।
କପଟପଶୁପ ମଧ୍ୟେ ମୁଗ୍ଧହାସାଂକୁରଂ ତେ
ଦଶନମୁକୁଲହୃଦ୍ୟଂ ଵୀକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଵକ୍ତ୍ରଂ ଜହର୍ଷ ॥5॥

Meaning
ସ୍ନୁତ-ସ୍ନୁତ-କୁଚଭରମ୍- - with overflowing and full breasts; ଅଂକେ ଧାରୟଂତୀ ଭଵଂତଂ - in the lap holding Thee; ତରଲମତି ୟଶୋଦା - tender hearted Yashodaa; ସ୍ତନ୍ୟଦା ଧନ୍ୟଧନ୍ୟା - breast feeding (Thee) was extremely fortunate; କପଟ-ପଶୁପ ମଧ୍ୟେ - O Thou! The seeming cowherd boy! In the middle; ମୁଗ୍ଧ-ହାସ-ଅଂକୁରଂ - the bewitching smile sprouting; ତେ ଦଶନ-ମୁକୁଲ-ହୃଦ୍ୟଂ - Thy teeth buds-like charming; ଵୀକ୍ଷ୍ୟ ଵକ୍ତ୍ରଂ ଜହର୍ଷ - seeing (Thy) face was filled with delight;

Translation
The tender hearted Yashodaa with overflowing and full breasts, held Thee in her lap and fed Thee. How extremely fortunate and blessed she was as she did so. O Thou! The seeming cowherd boy! In between the feeding Thou smiled bewitchingly, revealing the charming jasmine buds like teeth, and seeing Thy face she was filled with delight.

ଶ୍ଲୋକଃ
ତଦନୁଚରଣଚାରୀ ଦାରକୈସ୍ସାକମାରା-
ନ୍ନିଲୟତତିଷୁ ଖେଲନ୍ ବାଲଚାପଲ୍ୟଶାଲୀ ।
ଭଵନଶୁକଵିଡାଲାନ୍ ଵତ୍ସକାଂଶ୍ଚାନୁଧାଵନ୍
କଥମପି କୃତହାସୈର୍ଗୋପକୈର୍ଵାରିତୋଽଭୂଃ ॥6॥

Meaning
ତଦନୁ-ଚରଣ-ଚାରୀ - next (when Thou started) on feet walking about; ଦାରକୈଃ-ସାକମ୍- - with the other boys; ଆରାତ୍-ନିଲୟତତିଷୁ - in the nearby houses and compounds; ଖେଲନ୍ - playing; ବାଲ-ଚାପଲ୍ୟ-ଶାଲୀ - (with) the natural childish restlessness; ଭଵନ-ଶୁକ-ଵିଡାଲାନ୍ - the domestic parrots and cats; ଵତ୍ସକାନ୍-ଚ- - and the calves; ଅନୁଧାଵନ୍ କଥମ୍-ଅପି - chasing somehow; କୃତ-ହାସୈଃ-ଗୋପକୈଃ- - by the gopaas who were laughing; ଵାରିତଃ-ଅଭୂଃ - (Thou) were restrained;

Translation
Next, as Thou started to walk about, Thou played with the other boys in the neighbouring houses and compounds with the natural childlike restlessness. The Gopaas witnessed with joyful laughter as Thou also chased the pet parrots, cats and calves of the household and they somehow restrained Thee from doing so.

ଶ୍ଲୋକଃ
ହଲଧରସହିତସ୍ତ୍ଵଂ ୟତ୍ର ୟତ୍ରୋପୟାତୋ
ଵିଵଶପତିତନେତ୍ରାସ୍ତତ୍ର ତତ୍ରୈଵ ଗୋପ୍ୟଃ ।
ଵିଗଲିତଗୃହକୃତ୍ୟା ଵିସ୍ମୃତାପତ୍ୟଭୃତ୍ୟା
ମୁରହର ମୁହୁରତ୍ୟଂତାକୁଲା ନିତ୍ୟମାସନ୍ ॥7॥

Meaning
ହଲଧର-ସହିତଃ-ତ୍ଵଂ - along with Haladhara (Balaraam), Thou; ୟତ୍ର ୟତ୍ର-ଉପୟାତଃ - where-ever went; ଵିଵଶ-ପତିତ-ନେତ୍ରାଃ- - with helpless (spell bound) watching; ତତ୍ର ତତ୍ର-ଏଵ ଗୋପ୍ୟଃ - there there the Gopis; ଵିଗଲିତ-ଗୃହ-କୃତ୍ୟା - neglecting their household duties; ଵିସ୍ମୃତ-ଅପତ୍ୟ-ଭୃତ୍ୟା - forgetting their children and servants; ମୁରହର - O Slayer of Mura!; ମୁହୁଃ-ଅତ୍ୟଂତ- - again and again, very much; ଆକୁଲା ନିତ୍ୟମ୍-ଆସନ୍ - excited always were;

Translation
Where so ever that Thou went with Thy elder brother Haldhar, the Gopis helplessly and spell bound kept watching Thee. They even neglected their household chores and forgot all about their children and servants. O Slayer of Mura! They were always so very much excited as this happened again and again.

ଶ୍ଲୋକଃ
ପ୍ରତିନଵନଵନୀତଂ ଗୋପିକାଦତ୍ତମିଚ୍ଛନ୍
କଲପଦମୁପଗାୟନ୍ କୋମଲଂ କ୍ଵାପି ନୃତ୍ୟନ୍ ।
ସଦୟୟୁଵତିଲୋକୈରର୍ପିତଂ ସର୍ପିରଶ୍ନନ୍
କ୍ଵଚନ ନଵଵିପକ୍ଵଂ ଦୁଗ୍ଧମପ୍ୟାପିବସ୍ତ୍ଵମ୍ ॥8॥

Meaning
ପ୍ରତିନଵ-ନଵନୀତଂ - fresh butter; ଗୋପିକା-ଦତ୍ତମ୍- - by the Gopikas given; ଇଚ୍ଛନ୍ କଲପଦମ୍- - desiring sweet songs; ଉପଗାୟନ୍ - singing; କୋମଲଂ କ୍ଵ-ଅପି - charmingly sometimes; ନୃତ୍ୟନ୍ - dancing; ସଦୟ-ୟୁଵତି-ଲୋକୈଃ - by the affectionate young women folk; ଅର୍ପିତଂ ସର୍ପିଃ-ଅଶ୍ନନ୍ - offered butter, eating; କ୍ଵଚନ ନଵ- ଵିପକ୍ଵଂ - sometimes freshly boiled; ଦୁଗ୍ଧମ୍-ଅପି- - milk also; ଅପିବଃ-ତ୍ଵମ୍ - drank Thou;

Translation
Thou would sweetly sing and sometimes charmingly dance about with the desire of getting fresh butter. The young women full of affection gave Thee butter which Thou ate and also gave freshly boiled milk which Thou drank with delight.

ଶ୍ଲୋକଃ
ମମ ଖଲୁ ବଲିଗେହେ ୟାଚନଂ ଜାତମାସ୍ତା-
ମିହ ପୁନରବଲାନାମଗ୍ରତୋ ନୈଵ କୁର୍ଵେ ।
ଇତି ଵିହିତମତିଃ କିଂ ଦେଵ ସଂତ୍ୟଜ୍ୟ ୟାଚ୍ଞାଂ
ଦଧିଘୃତମହରସ୍ତ୍ଵଂ ଚାରୁଣା ଚୋରଣେନ ॥9॥

Meaning
ମମ ଖଲୁ ବଲି-ଗେହେ - indeed my, in the house of Mahaabali; ୟାଚନଂ ଜାତମ୍-ଆସ୍ତାମ୍ - begging was done, let that be; ଇହ ପୁନଃ- - here, again; ଅବଲାନାମ୍-ଅଗ୍ରତଃ - in front of the ladies; ନ-ଏଵ କୁର୍ଵେ - I will not do so; ଇତି ଵିହିତ-ମତିଃ - thus deciding; କିଂ ଦେଵ - did Thou O Lord!; ସଂତ୍ୟଜ୍ୟ ୟଚ୍ଞାଂ - giving up begging; ଦଧି-ଘୃତମ୍- - curd ghee etc; ଅହରଃ-ତ୍ଵଂ - took Thou; ଚାରୁଣା ଚୋରଣେନ - by pleasant stealing;

Translation
In the house of Mahaabali I had to go begging. Let that be. Here now in front of these ladies I am not going to do so again.' O Lord! Thus deciding Thou gave up begging for curd and ghee etc and resorted to pleasantly stealing in clever delightful ways.

ଶ୍ଲୋକଃ
ତଵ ଦଧିଘୃତମୋଷେ ଘୋଷୟୋଷାଜନାନା-
ମଭଜତ ହୃଦି ରୋଷୋ ନାଵକାଶଂ ନ ଶୋକଃ ।
ହୃଦୟମପି ମୁଷିତ୍ଵା ହର୍ଷସିଂଧୌ ନ୍ୟଧାସ୍ତ୍ଵଂ
ସ ମମ ଶମୟ ରୋଗାନ୍ ଵାତଗେହାଧିନାଥ ॥10॥

Meaning
ତଵ ଦଧି-ଘୃତମ୍-ଓଷେ - Thy, in the curd and ghee stealing; ଘୋଷ-ୟୋଷା-ଜନାନାମ୍- - in the cowherds' colony's women folk; ଅଭଜତ ହୃଦି ରୋଷଃ - did not entertain in their hearts, anger; ନ-ଅଵକାଶଂ ନ ଶୋକଃ - neither dearth nor sorrow; ହୃଦୟମ୍-ଅପି ମୁଷିତ୍ଵା - (their) hearts also stealing; ହର୍ଷ-ସିଂଧୌ - in the ocean of bliss; ନ୍ୟଧାଃ-ତ୍ଵଂ - put them in, Thou; ସ - That Thou; ମମ ଶମୟ ରୋଗାନ୍ - my eradicate ailments; ଵାତଗେହାଧିନାଥ - O Lord of Guruvaayur!;

Translation
In the cowherds' colony the Gopikas did not have place in their hearts for either anger or sorrow by Thy stealing of butter and ghee etc. They did not even feel any dearth for its being stolen. It was because Thou also stole their hearts and immersed them in the ocean of Bliss. Such Thou O Lord of Guruvaayur! May Thou eradicate my ailments.

ଶ୍ଲୋକଃ
ଶାଖାଗ୍ରେ ଵିଧୁଂ ଵିଲୋକ୍ୟ ଫଲମିତ୍ୟଂବାଂ ଚ ତାତଂ ମୁହୁଃ
ସଂପ୍ରାର୍ଥ୍ୟାଥ ତଦା ତଦୀୟଵଚସା ପ୍ରୋତ୍କ୍ଷିପ୍ତବାହୌ ତ୍ଵୟି।
ଚିତ୍ରଂ ଦେଵ ଶଶୀ ସ ତେ କର୍ମଗାତ୍ କିଂ ବ୍ରୂମହେ ସଂପତଃ
ଜ୍ୟୋତିର୍ମଂଡଲପୂରିତାଖିଲଵପୁଃ ପ୍ରାଗା ଵିରାଡ୍ରୂପତାମ୍ ॥ 11॥

Meaning
ଶାଖା-ଅଗ୍ରେ-ଅଥ - (at) the branches's front (end) then; ଵିଧୁଂ ଵିଲୋକ୍ୟ - the moon seeing; ଫଲମ୍-ଇତି-ଅଂବାମ୍ - fruit it is, (to) mother; ଚ ତାତଂ ମୁହୁଃ - and to father again and again; ସଂପ୍ରାର୍ଥ୍ୟ-ଅଥ - requesting, then; ତଦା ତଦୀୟ-ଵଚସା - at that time, by his (father's)saying; ପ୍ରୋକ୍ଷିପ୍ତ-ବାହୌ ତ୍ଵୟି - were flung up the two arms by Thee; ଚିତ୍ରମ୍ - amazing; ଦେଵ ଶଶୀ ସ - deity moon that; ତେ କରମ୍-ଅଗାତ୍ - in Thy hands came; କିଂ ବ୍ରୂମହେ ସଂପତଃ - what do we say of (Thy) lordliness; ଜ୍ୟୋତିଃ-ମଂଡଲ- - the luminous aura; ପୂରିତ-ଅଖିଲ-ଵପୁଃ - covering the whole body; ପ୍ରାଗା ଵିରାଟ-ରୂପମ୍ - attained cosmic form;

Translation
On the front end of the branch of a tree, watching the moon, Thou asked Thy mother and father again and again for it, saying that it was a fruit. At that time, then, going by Thy father's words, when Thou flung Thy two arms,amazingly, the deity moon came into Thy hands! What can we say of Thy splendorous lordliness? Thy whole body was covered by luminous light and Thou attained Thy cosmic form!

ଶ୍ଲୋକଃ
କିଂ କିଂ ବତେଦମିତି ସଂଭ୍ରମ ଭାଜମେନଂ
ବ୍ରହ୍ମାର୍ଣଵେ କ୍ଷଣମମୁଂ ପରିମଜ୍ଜ୍ୟ ତାତମ୍ ।
ମାୟାଂ ପୁନସ୍ତନୟ-ମୋହମୟୀଂ ଵିତନ୍ଵନ୍
ଆନଂଦଚିନ୍ମୟ ଜଗନ୍ମୟ ପାହି ରୋଗାତ୍ ॥12॥

Meaning
କିଂ କିଂ ବତ- - what what, indeed; ଇଦମ୍-ଇତି ସଂଭ୍ରମ୍ - this (is) thus confusion; ଭାଜମ୍-ଏନମ୍ - contained him (father); ବ୍ରହ୍ମ-ଅର୍ଣଵେ - in the cosmic ocean; କ୍ଷଣମ୍-ଅମୁମ୍ - for a moment him; ପରିମଜ୍ଜ୍ୟ ତାତମ୍ - immersing father; ମାୟାଂ ପୁନଃ-ତନୟ- - the Maayaa again, of son's; ମୋହମୟୀଂ ଵିତନ୍ଵନ୍ - enchanting, drawing; ଆନଂଦ-ଚିନ୍ମୟ - bliss, supreme consciousness; ଜଗନ୍ମୟ - O Universal form!; ପାହି ରୋଗାତ୍ - save from disease;

Translation
'What is all this! indeed!' thus Thy father was a vessel of amazement. Thou immersed him in the cosmic ocean for a moment, then again extended Thy Maayaa, and Thou brought about Thy enchanting form of a son. That, Bliss incarnate,Supreme Consciousness, Cosmic form, O Krishna! save me from disease!
